Design for Print

Earlier in my career, I worked in print design. As a recent graduate, I had worked in the design department of a printing house where I designed marketing materials and magazines, and oversaw the production of agencies’ artwork.

As a creative freelancer, I had the opportunity to work on projects that aligned perfectly with my interests, such as theatre and literature publications. There’s always a certain amount of pleasure in seeing my work out in the world.

Horizon

I designed the logo and layout for a Cypriot newspaper extract dedicated to culture, an editorial space where art and literature could breathe freely. The publication is titled Ορίζοντας, which translates to Horizon in English.

For the first issue, one of my photographs (an image of the Manhattan Bridge in New York, accompanied by a short text) was featured on the first page.

An Album of Stories

An Album of Stories is an award‑winning book, written mostly in the Greek-Cypriot language. My involvement with the project included design consultation and the design of several spreads throughout the book. I provided photographs from my personal archive, and photographed old family albums that were featured in the book.

Limassol Theatre Course

A group of theatre enthusiasts, Limassol Theatre Course produces stage plays and annual journals. These are in the form of books, with each issue exploring a different topic from the theatre in Cyprus.

My involvement with the project included research, which involved talking to some of the most loved theatre people in the country, and scanning countless archived materials. I had full design freedom on the layout and image editing, and oversaw the print production.
