Ορίζοντας

I was tasked with designing the logo and layout for a cultural editorial in a Cypriot newspaper, focusing on art, literature, and social commentary. The publication is titled Ορίζοντας, which translates to Horizon in English. That word alone carries immense symbolic weight as it evokes openness and possibility. I wanted the visual identity to reflect that feeling. 

To do this, I added a subtle gap in the title and used a reflection effect to create a visual horizon. It became a simple but meaningful focal point, symbolising movement and connection. I kept the overall layout clean and minimal so the content could stand out. 

For the first issue, one of my photographs (an image of the Manhattan Bridge in New York) was decorating the first page. It felt like a fitting choice, representing connection between places, ideas, and people.
